Welcome to the Master School Template

This template can be used to create school pages for the University of Birmingham Web Site. The template has been designed to be easy to use and as flexible as possible.

All content should be added within this table cell. The rest of the page is constructed automatically using Server Side Includes (SSI's). SSI's enable the central management of look, feel and navigation. A single update to an SSI is instantly reflected on every page of the web site.

You can use any HTML within this cell. The only limit is the maximum width you can use is 760 pixels. Please ensure elements such as graphics and tables are less than 760 pixels wide. Elements larger than this will cause the web page to distort. If you edit HTML directly please work only within the 'editable area'.

Please use graphics from the graphics library (www.images.bham.ac.uk).

The template uses the HTML title of this page for main headings. If you omit a title the default 'University of Birmingham' is displayed. You can set the title of the page using your web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver etc.). Hint: Title is usually available under an option such as 'page properties'.

You can also edit page HTML directly. Note. To work correctly the title tags must immediately follow the head tags. If you have edited HTML and the title is not working check where the title is in the HTML!
